How the Hub Care Support works locally

Finding the right support should feel personal, not rushed.

That’s why we take the time speak with every single person looking for support.

We want to understand your individual circumstances and needs so we can make the best, most informed suggestions for your support.

Chat with us

First, you tell your local Hub team what kind of support you are looking for. This might include companionship, help at home, personal care, respite support, dementia support or live-in care.

Review PA profiles

We send you the profiles of every Personal Support Assistant that potentially meets your wants and needs. Then it's over to you to take the time to fully review their profiles.

Arrange a chat

Once you've made your selections, invite the Personal Support Assistant(s) to meet with you so you can be sure that they are the right fit, ask them for any more information and discuss the finer details of your support.

Why we only introduce QCAS-approved PAs

Choosing a Personal Assistant is a personal decision, so reassurance matters.

Hub Care Support only introduces people to Personal Assistants who have been approved through QCAS, the Quality Care Approval Scheme. QCAS checks are designed to give people more confidence when choosing support at home.

Checks include identity, enhanced conviction free DBS, references, training and insurance.

Personal Assistant spotlight

Availability varies. The person receiving support chooses their PA and agrees support directly with them.

Amy

Director

Hi, I’m Amy.

I’ve worked in the care sector for over 20 years, supporting people with a wide range of care and support needs.

I first joined Hub Care Support around 10 years ago as a self-employed Personal Assistant. I loved the flexibility and personal approach, and my passion for the Hub eventually led to me joining the operations team.

In 2022, Adam and I opened Hub Care Support – West Herts. Since then, we’ve grown considerably, building a fantastic network of experienced PAs across Hertfordshire.

What I enjoy most is getting to know people and finding the right PA for them. Experience is important, but personality, interests and simply getting along matter too. Seeing those introductions develop into trusted, long-term relationships is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built and the difference our PAs make every day.

Adam

Director

Hi, I’ Adam. I spent around 20 years working in the insurance industry before joining Hub Care Support in 2022, when Amy and I opened the West Hertfordshire branch together.

Having talked about the care sector with Amy for many years, I felt there was a real opportunity to offer families a more personal and flexible way of finding support. Since then, we’ve grown considerably, expanding our network of PAs and the areas we support across Hertfordshire.

My background is more focused on the business and operational side, and I work closely with Amy and the team to keep everything running smoothly and help the service continue to grow.

I particularly enjoy seeing the difference the right match can make. Whether someone needs a few hours of companionship or much more extensive support, knowing we’ve helped them find a PA they trust makes what we do incredibly rewarding.

I’m very proud of what Amy and I have built and excited about where we take Hub Care Support next.

Hazel

Operations exectutive

I am Hazel and I joined the Hub Care Support team in April 2026, bringing experience from NHS administrative roles as well as first-hand experience working as a Personal Assistant on the Hub register.

During my time as a PA, I really enjoyed getting to know the people I supported and understanding how important consistency, reliability and the right personal connection can be.

Since joining the office team, I’ve been involved in supporting families looking for care, working closely with our existing PAs and helping recruit and welcome new Personal Assistants to the Hub.

Having experienced Hub Care Support from both sides gives me a good understanding of what families are looking for and what makes a successful PA relationship.

I really enjoy being part of the team and particularly love helping to bring the right people together and seeing a successful match develop.
